New protocols for a Rolfing session during the COVID-19 pandemic

6/10/2020

We have decided to slowly reopen Invoke Rolfing. However, in order to do so in a safe manner, we have created a list of protocols based on state regulations, CDC guidelines and recomendations from the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards.

Below is a list of things that we promise to do to provide a safe experience as well as some new requirements for clients.

Be well and I hope to see you soon.

What I will do and provide for your safety….
  • The number of clients will be limited to no more than four per day. This will allow adequate time for cleaning and airing out the space between sessions.
  • All surfaces that you may come in contact with during the session will be cleaned and sanitized prior to the session including door knobs, hangers, chairs, the table, bench, pillows, etc.
  • Freshly-laundered sheets and blankets will be provided for each client. Used sheets, pillow cases and blankets will be stored in a plastic, zippered bag.
  • Heavy duty vinyl zippered pillow covers and a table cover have been installed and will be sanitized between each client.
  • Hand sanitizer and a new, clean mask will be available to immediately upon entry.
  • There will be an electric air purifier that purifies/filters the air in the room 4x's an hour and HEPA air filters have been installed on each of the heating/cooling vents.
  • We will take your temperature with an ear thermometer and check your blood oxygen levels with an oximeter.
  • Between each session, I will scrub/wash any exposed skin with soap and water and change into a fresh, clean outfit.
  • If I am experiencing any signs or symptoms of sickness I will cancel all appointments immediately.

What I will ask of you....
  • If you have any symptoms of illness (cough, sneezing, weakness, elevated temperature, sore throat, etc.) please postpone your appointment.
  • Please shower and put on clean clothes immediately before your session.
  • Please wash your hands immediately after entering the building.
  • Be prepared to wear a mask to wear during your session. You may bring your own new or recently washed face mask or one will be provided to you at the office.

Invoke Rolfing requires all individuals to utilize approved masks at all times to reduce the risk of exposure to yourself and others. It is also required of everyone to wash and sanitize their hands after using the restroom, sneezing, or coughing. We will postpone serving water during the session, so please bring your own water bottle if needed.

To assess your level of potential exposure to the coronavirus, please be prepared to answer the following questions and to sign a release waiver:
1. Have you traveled outside your home town in the last two weeks?
2. Have you knowingly been exposed to coronavirus?
3. Do you live with or take care of anyone who is high-risk?
4. Do you or anyone you know have any symptoms of coronavirus?

***Please note that if it is determined at the time of your appointment that you have a high risk of being exposed to the coronavirus, we will reschedule you for 2-3 weeks. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
